The "Help The Elves" event is a limited-time holiday mission series where players assist Santa's stranded helpers complete their Christmas preparations despite the forest's supernatural threats. Complete all missions before December 24 to earn exclusive rewards.
While delivering presents ahead of schedule, Santa's sleigh was caught in an unnatural winter storm over the haunted forest. Several elves and gift packages were scattered throughout the dangerous woods.
The elves have set up makeshift workshops but need assistance from survivors to complete their Christmas preparations before the forest's dark inhabitants ruin Christmas for everyone.
This event connects to the forest's history of trapping hopeful travelers during winter months, adding a tragic twist to the holiday season within the game's universe.
The head elf coordinating recovery efforts from the Central Workshop.
Toolmaster elf who needs help recovering specialized crafting equipment.
Baker elf whose ingredients were stolen by forest creatures.
If players fail to help the elves complete their tasks by December 24, the forest's darkness will corrupt the remaining gifts and workshops, causing permanent changes to the winter area and locking away exclusive rewards until next year's event.
The "Help The Elves" event features 6 sequential missions that must be completed in order. Each mission unlocks upon completing the previous one. Missions are designed for 2-4 players but can be attempted solo with adequate preparation.
Locate Tinsel in the Central Workshop to begin the event chain. The workshop is hidden in the snowy northwestern section of the forest.
Help Jingle recover his specialized tools that were scattered when the sleigh crashed. Tools are guarded by winter-themed forest creatures.
Defend the gift-wrapping conveyor belt from waves of corrupted forest creatures trying to sabotage Christmas preparations.
Help Snickerdoodle recover stolen baking ingredients from mischievous forest creatures.
Activate ancient beacons to guide Santa's rescue sleigh through the forest's dark magic.
Complete all final Christmas preparations and defend against the final assault before Christmas Eve.
Each mission takes approximately 20-40 minutes to complete. Plan for 3-4 hours total to complete all 6 missions. You can complete them across multiple play sessions, but progress is saved per mission completion.
The elves have set up temporary workshops throughout the forest. Finding them is essential to progressing through the event.
| Elf NPC | Location | Clues & Landmarks | Available Missions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tinsel | Central Workshop | Northwest forest, near frozen lake, visible smoke from workshop chimney | Mission 1, Mission 6 (final) |
| Jingle | Tool Workshop | Eastern forest, inside hollowed giant tree, mechanical sounds audible | Mission 2 |
| Snickerdoodle | Bakery Tent | Southern forest clearing, smells of gingerbread, festive decorations | Mission 4 |
| Spark | Beacon Tower | Northeast mountain peak, visible light pulses during night cycle | Mission 5 |
Players who complete Mission 1 receive a "Festive Map" item that marks elf locations and mission objectives. The map updates as you progress through missions and reveals hidden collectibles and shortcuts between workshops.
Completing "Help The Elves" missions earns exclusive rewards unavailable through normal gameplay. Rewards are divided into three categories based on completion level.
Rewards for completing individual missions
Rewards for completing all 6 missions
Extra rewards for completing optional objectives
Christmas Tokens are the event-exclusive currency earned from completing missions. They can be exchanged at Tinsel's workshop for special items:
All "Help The Elves" rewards are exclusive to this year's event and will not be available again until next Christmas (if at all). Some cosmetic items may become legacy items with increased rarity value in future years.
A balanced team significantly increases success chances for the more difficult missions:
Consider bringing at least one player with the "Survivalist" class for resource gathering during Mission 4's ingredient collection phase.
Split your team to cover multiple tool locations simultaneously. Assign one player as bait to distract Yetis while others collect tools.
Position players at different heights around the workshop for optimal coverage. Save special abilities for wave 3 and 5.
Complete beacon puzzles in this order: North → East → South → West to trigger a time-saving shortcut.
Bring healing items, buff food, and repair materials
Start missions at night for elf visibility and reduced enemy spawns
3 players is optimal balance for speed and reward distribution
If failing a mission, wait for daily reset for buffs
The event ends on December 24 at 11:59 PM server time. After this deadline, elves will disappear from the forest, and all incomplete missions will be locked until next year's potential rerun. Rewards can still be claimed from completed missions until December 31.
All missions are technically possible to complete solo, but Missions 3, 5, and 6 are significantly challenging without a team. The event is balanced for 2-4 players, and team play is strongly recommended for average-skilled players.
You will receive rewards for all completed missions, but miss out on the final completion rewards (Santa's Helper Outfit, Magical Sleigh Mount, etc.). Partial progress does not carry over to next year - you would need to start from Mission 1 again.
Yes, Christmas Tokens remain in your inventory and can be used in future holiday events. However, the current workshop exchange with Tinsel will close on December 31. Any unused tokens will be usable next Christmas with (likely) different exchange items.
No, the event is completely free for all players. However, certain game passes may provide quality-of-life benefits like increased inventory space for collected items or faster movement speed between elf locations.
Most event cosmetics are account-bound and not tradeable. The exception is the "Rare Holiday Blueprint" which can be traded once. This ensures the rarity and exclusivity of the rewards for participants.
