Bandage-99 NIGHTS IN THE FOREST

Bandage Overview

🩹

Bandages are crucial medical items in "99 Nights in the Forest" that can restore health and revive teammates, making them essential resources for survival.

In the dark and dangerous forest, bandages may be the only barrier between life and death. Whether dealing with monster attacks or accidental injuries during exploration, bandages provide critical survival assurance.

Acquisition Methods

There are several ways to obtain bandages in the game:

1. Choosing the Medic Profession

Select the medic profession when creating your character, and you'll start with 2 bandages. As the medic profession levels up, one of the bandages will upgrade to a Medkit, providing more health restoration.

2. Looting Chests

Bandages can occasionally be found in chests scattered throughout the game world, but this method relies heavily on luck and isn't reliable, especially in the early game.

3. Exploring Hospitals

Hospitals (which spawn randomly on the map and are relatively rare) are concentrated spawn points for bandages. You can typically find multiple bandages inside. However, be careful as wolf packs sometimes guard hospital entrances.

4. Crafting Bandages (Mid to Late Game)

In the mid to late game, after your campfire has expanded to a certain size, circular structures called "Anvils" may spawn on the map. After rebuilding an anvil, you can use it to craft bandages.

💡 Tip: For new players, we recommend starting with the medic profession to ensure you have bandages in the early game, significantly improving your survival chances.

Main Uses of Bandages

Heal Injuries

Can be used on yourself or other players to restore health.

Revive Allies

When teammates are defeated and downed, bandages can be used to revive them and bring them back into battle.

Bandages belong to the Tools category and don't occupy inventory slots. They appear directly in the quick access bar at the bottom of the screen and can be quickly switched like a flashlight or weapon, making them very convenient to use.

Crafting Bandages

In the mid to late game, you can craft bandages using an Anvil. Here are the required materials:

After collecting these materials, go to a rebuilt anvil to craft bandages. It's recommended to craft multiple at once for future needs.

⚠️ Note: Anvil entrances may be covered by vines that need to be cleared first. Additionally, the building may be guarded by cultists, so proceed with caution.

Practical Tips and Strategies

Importance of Light Sources

Monsters in the game (like the Wendigo) are generally afraid of light sources (torches, campfires, etc.). Whether exploring or healing, try to ensure you have a reliable light source nearby.

Early Game Planning

Since bandages are difficult to obtain in the early game, starting with the medic profession or teaming up with a medic teammate can greatly improve your margin for error in the early stages.

Mid to Late Game Goals

If you plan to play long-term, unlocking and rebuilding anvils early is key to consistently obtaining bandages and other advanced resources.

Exploring Hospitals

Although hospitals are rich in bandages, they often come with danger. Before going, make sure to equip proper weapons and plan an escape route.

💡 Advanced Tip: Before fighting powerful enemies, pre-position bandages in easily accessible slots in your quick access bar. This allows for quick healing in critical moments and can turn the tide of battle.
